It's time for the 2026 Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair (HSSEF)! The HAEP will be sponsoring four awards in Earth and Environmental Science and two in Environmental Engineering. We're looking for around 10-15 judges to help select the recipients. The event will be in-person and/or online on morning of April 2, 2026.

Judging is typically comprised of 2 rounds. In the 1st round, all projects are evaluated on multiple criteria (presentation, creativity, execution, etc.) on a scoring rubric. Judges will be assigned to evaluate projects in a particular “cluster” (a group of categories lumped together) based on their background, expertise, and preferred selection in the registration form below. The top projects of the fair are then invited to participate in the second round.
