We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental/Stormwater Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Maui, HI office.

Requirements

Skills/Experience

Required Skills 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources engineering. 

  •  6+ years of related consulting experience, with an emphasis that includes municipal and/or industrial stormwater system regulatory compliance and/or design. 

  •  Professional engineering registration or certification, as applicable. 

  •  Construction stormwater certification (e.g., CISEC, CPESC, CPSWQ, CESSWI, etc.) or ability to quickly obtain. 

  •  Strong task management skills, organizational skills, and attention to details. 

  •  Proficient computer literacy skills including use of the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements. 

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  •  Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to stormwater and spill control. 


Preferred Skills

  •  Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or a related field. 

  •  Some project management experience a plus. 

  •  OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates. 

  •  Experience with Municipal NPDES permit regulations (construction, MS4, industrial, etc.). 

  •  Interest or experience with community outreach for environmental programs.

The salary range for this position in Maui, HI is $95,000 - $115,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
